Laboratory for Adaptive Structures and Intelligent Systems (LASIS), founded in 2016, aims to be a source of excellence for multidisciplinary research in smart materials-based adaptive structures and intelligent systems for automotive and aerospace systems. Within this context, her objectives are the following:
To perform high-level research;
To cultivate students in the relevant disciplines with strong academic and engineering innovation;
To enhance the standing of Hefei University of Technology as a major research university;
To provide a channel for connecting the academic research and industry.
The recent research emphases in the LASIS includes:
(a) Smart materials-based adaptive structures
(b) Shock and vibration control;
(c) Intelligent/unmanned vehicles:
(c.1) New mechatronics-based vehicle dynamics and control;
(c.2) Connected vehicles.
