For system applications of the proposed new mechatronics, i.e., the Adaptive Structures for vehicular chassis-by-wire systems, including active/semi-active suspensions and brake-by-wire systems, nonlinear dynamics and control are the main tasks.
(a) Nonlinear hysteresis modeling and control;
(b) System control on vehicular suspensions, landing gear systems, powertrain mounting systems, and special systems for both shock and vibration mitigation;
(c) System control on vehicular brake-by-wire systems and related extensions, such as regenerative braking and automatic emergency braking; and
(d) Multi-DOF system dynamics and control.
